To Boldly Go

Guess what?

If you are unhappy or unsatisfied in your life (business, personal, spiritual …) you are the one responsible for changing it! That means that you have to do something different in order to get different results.

The classic definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting to get different results. Do you know what will happen when you try to make a change? You will trip yourself up.

A body (or mind) at rest wants to stay at rest. A body (or mind) in motion wants to stay in motion … along the same course unless some outside force acts. Complacency and fear rule the mind and the mind in turn will attempt to subdue the spirit. cheap hotels . Your spirit has courage, but there’s always a part of your mind that will try to convince you otherwise. The brain wants to remain.

Things that will stop boldness every time

1) “I’m doing fine

When the road gets tough, it is easy to settle back into the usual routine and think to yourself, ‘Well, I don’t really need to lose weight. I look okay.’ ‘There are people worse off than me.’ ‘I don’t really want to move ahead in my business, that’s just greedy ambition.

The above statement gives you permission to not change … because you’re just fine, just as you are.

Except you’re not. It’s your brain fooling you into thinking that you are.

I’m not telling you to not be happy where you are. If you are truly content at your current weight, ability and position then you do not need to change a thing. But don’t pretend and use that as an excuse to remain stagnant, because in the long run that course will leave you (as well as your family and friends) miserable and frustrated. travelling distance . When I’m working on my show, one phrase I don’t allow myself to use is: ‘That’s good enough’ or ‘it plays well’. Such phrases stagnate the artist, so I am constantly looking for ways to improve the effect or its impact on the program as a whole.

If you are having trouble sleeping, struggling to get up every morning to go to a job you dislike, arguing with your partner more than you’re loving, getting angry too fast over insignificant things … you are not ‘fine’. It’s time to try something new.

2) Inertia

I really like this.

Most people think there is an organic drive for success and happiness. This is not the truth. There is only a drive for ‘more of the same.’ It’s basic physics.

You will not lose 50 lbs or improve your lifestyle by thinking about how much you want it. You have to battle the inertia and take action. This is true with every goal.

If you want to make more money then you have to do something different.

If you want a better relationship with your partner then you have to do something different.

If you want to lose weight or have better health then you have to do something different.

You have to take purposeful, strategic action to change your life. Change is uncomfortable, in fact it can be frightening and even painful … but it is absolutely necessary if you want to improve your situation.
